American Heritage-Delray (Fla.) quarterback Marcus Stracke continued his brilliant start on Thursday night, throwing three touchdown passes in a blowout victory over Somerset Academy-Pembroke Pines.
Stracke finished 10-of-17 for 209 yards, including a 70-yard touchdown strike to fellow junior Johnathan Cesar. Oxbridge transfer and two-way standout Ty Caldwell and senior receiver Jonah Kasten also caught touchdowns in the 49-12 rout.
Caldwell, who recently received an offer from Daytona Beach Christian (Fla.), tallied three catches for 75 yards.
Stracke and the Stallions’ offense have been terrifying to open the new season, scoring 93 points over eight quarters. The second-year starter has completed 66% of his passes for 529 yards, four touchdowns, and an interception.
“I’m not scared of any team or any player,” Stracke recently told Legacy Library. “You already know that we’re coming out every game with the same mindset each time.”
Stracke and American Heritage can move to 3-0 with a victory over Somerset Academy-Silver Palms (0-1) next Friday.
