Shortly after handling business in the present, American Heritage-Delray (Fla.) two-way standout Ty Caldwell had another opportunity to think about his future.
Not only did Caldwell and the Stallions record a 49-12 blowout victory over Somerset Academy-Pembroke Pines on Thursday night, but the Oxbridge transfer announced that he’d received an offer from Daytona Beach (Fla.) Christian University.
The 6-foot-3, 175-pound Caldwell previously earned an offer from NAIA Keiser (Fla.) in April. Daytona Beach Christian competes in the Gulf-Atlantic Athletic Conference, which is not part of the NCAA. DBCU plays its inaugural game against Bonneville Football Academy (Fla.) on Saturday afternoon.
The 2026 Early Signing Period is expected to begin Wednesday, Dec. 2, and run through Friday, Dec. 4. Players who sign their letter of intent during that period can then enroll early.
Caldwell scored a touchdown in Thursday’s rout of Somerset Academy. He began his senior season with three catches for 72 yards in last week’s 44-7 win over Calvary Christian Academy.
Caldwell and American Heritage return to the field next Friday against Somerset Academy-Silver Palms in a battle of the Stallions.
