Cajon High School (Calif.) quarterback Marcus Washington Jr. has officially added another Power 4 offer, with Texas A&M becoming the latest school to express interest in the sophomore quarterback.
Texas A&M’s offer brings Washington’s total to 11, with 10 coming from Power 4 programs. Michigan became the latest addition to that list last week, just days before Washington and the Cowboys played their first preseason scrimmage.
Washington went 8-for-11 with 145 yards and two touchdowns in an exhibition game against Chaparral High School last Thursday.
Fans should expect to hear Washington’s name linked to more Power programs in the coming months. Kentucky, Vanderbilt, and Utah have all offered him since early May.
Washington had 31 touchdowns (22 passing, nine rushing) from scrimmage as a freshman. He earned Citrus Belt League Offensive MVP honors and led Cajon to its 12th consecutive winning season despite a 1-3 start.
Washington and the Cowboys open the season Thursday night against Etiwanda. Cajon previously won state championships in 1987 and 2017, the latter coming with future Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels at quarterback.
