Brenham High School (Texas) defensive back Trelyn Kelly continued his dominant senior campaign with another standout performance on Friday night.
Kelly intercepted two passes, tallied three tackles, and allowed zero catches in a 45-14 blowout win over Port Neches-Groves. The Cubs (4-0) erased an early first-quarter deficit by scoring 38 unanswered points across the second and third quarters to pull away and keep their undefeated campaign alive.
Kelly already has three interceptions and has made life impossible for opposing offenses through the season’s first month.

Kelly earned offers from Howard Payne University (Texas) and Texas A&M University-Texarkana earlier this summer. The latter will field its first football team in 2027 and play in the Lone Star Conference.
The 2026 Early Signing Period is expected to begin Wednesday, Dec. 2, and run through Friday, Dec. 4. Players who sign their letter of intent during the Early Signing Period can enroll early.
