After challenging games against Power 4 foes, Ty Jones and the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs can officially turn their attention to a far more balanced part of their schedule.
Jones, a Northern Arizona transfer, finished with one tackle in La. Tech’s 36-19 loss to Baylor on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs opened the year with an 80-6 blowout win over Northwestern State before their “buy games” against LSU and Baylor.
To their credit, the Bulldogs’ defense fared significantly better against Baylor. Jones and teammates allowed over 100 fewer yards and recovered two forced fumbles.

Jones has recorded 11 tackles this season, nine of which came in the Sept. 12 loss to LSU.
Louisiana Tech hosts Army (1-1) on Oct. 3 before welcoming in-state rival Louisiana (2-1) on Oct. 10 for its Sun Belt opener. Both games are in Ruston.
