Happy Wednesday, and while today is technically a Newsletter Wednesday, I wanted to instead use this space to outline Legacy Library’s Fall 2026 content strategy.
First off, thank you all for the continued support. This is my passion project, and writing these stories and connecting with student-athletes nationwide has been incredible. I’m looking forward to all that is to come.
I’ve spent the last month or so experimenting with some different article types, specifically the non-feature stories, like looking at players to watch in the mid-major conferences or writing quick newsers on college softball transfers. The features will always be the heart of what we do, and they’re what Legacy Library is built around. Storytelling isn’t our goal. It’s the foundation.
That said, this is what to know about our content strategy moving forward:
- All content will be free to read until Monday, August 24. That said, please subscribe. Legacy Library needs community support to best support the communities. Families and friends can specifically follow their favorite athlete this year, and we have already committed to regular updates on all athletes whom we have profiled thus far and will continue to profile. That includes weekly stories on their performances, as well as any recruiting updates ranging from scholarship offers to commitments.
- And as a thank you for the support, one subscriber will receive a $100 Amazon gift card in our Fall 2026 subscriber appreciation giveaway.
- The Legacy Library Newsletter will release only on Monday mornings as a way to preview the week ahead, share what we wrote the previous week, provide updates on some athletes, etc.
- I will be at Spanish River High School (Boca Raton, Fla.) and American Heritage-Delray (Delray Beach, Fla.) in the coming days, so be on the lookout. Coaches: Reach out to me so that we can arrange coverage for the weeks and season ahead.
- The goal is to release the Legacy Library Podcast at least once per week, and almost every episode will feature a guest. Winnie might even show up for one.
- The Sunday Spotlight will be renamed and likely released midweek so it doesn’t get lost in the NFL and weekend shuffle.
One last thing: Much of our early coverage has involved high school and college football. We will be working other sports into the mix as we get closer to the season.
