Welcome to Legacy Library Sports, where everyone has a story worth telling.
For those unfamiliar, my name is Jake Elman, and I am here to transform local sports coverage and give players, coaches, families, and communities the storytelling and exposure that they deserve.
This isn’t a mission that I take lightly. Look around you. Local newspapers and TV stations have been gutted for decades, and they’ve stopped even bothering with their local communities as a result. Newspapers beg for subscriptions when they don’t even write about the teams in your area.
We don’t care about the news of the day or star rankings. We care about stories. We care about platforming student-athletes and doing whatever it takes to get their names out there.
People say that journalism is dying. No, storytelling is dying. Journalism has been dead.
Legacy Library is committed to ensuring that your child, your partner, your loved ones, or anyone in between is covered positively. We don’t cherry-pick solely those with scholarship offers or five-star ratings.
To best help these communities, I need the community’s help. Please consider signing up for a monthly ($8) or yearly ($85) subscription*. You’re guaranteeing personalized articles and videos about your student-athlete and their team.
*Coaches and administrators, contact me for your subscription package.
Upon subscribing, you’ll immediately receive the following perks.
- Profile created for your student-athlete
- Access to all stories
- Weekly updates on your athletes of choice
- At least one feature story per month on your athlete
- At least one video update per month on your athlete
- Access to every newsletter
- Ability to leave comments
- Access to every mailbag
This is my full-time passion project. Take a look around Legacy Library, starting with the articles that are already live:
I have watched local coverage die nationwide, from the South Florida football hotbeds to baseball and softball in the northeast.
Legacy Library won’t bring back what is long gone.
We’re here to start something far better.
