On its own, the thought of playing in Florida Atlantic coach Zach Kittley’s up-tempo offense definitely appealed to Ridge Point High School (Texas) wide receiver Suhaib Ramseur.

But as Ramseur progressed through the recruiting process, he quickly noticed something about Kittley.

“A lot of people offer a guy, and then they never talk to him again,” Ramseur told Legacy Library. “But Coach Kitt being the head coach, having such a position, he was always texting me and checking in on me, making sure that I was good.

“It really made me feel like I was cared for and that he wanted me to be a part of his program,” Ramseur continued.

The 6-foot, 182-pound Ramseur publicly committed to FAU on June 6. He is one of three receivers who have pledged to FAU’s 2027 recruiting class, joining Florida high school standouts Dominick Harvey (Hawthorne High School) and Jermaine Walker (Fort Pierce Westwood).

Ridge Point credited Ramseur with 18 catches for 339 yards and five touchdowns as a junior. He is the Panthers’ leading returning receiver in all three categories.

If you’re a fan of high-scoring games, you’ll want to watch Kittley and the Owls’ Air Raid offense. FAU averaged 29.5 points last year, and the quarterback-receiver duo of Caden Veltkamp and Easton Messer each opted to return for the 2026 season.

“I’m always gonna love the Air Raid,” Ramseur quipped.

Luckily for Ramseur, he knows the Owls’ lone quarterback commit all too well, as teammate Brody Bartee pledged to the Owls in April.

The 2026 Early Signing Period is expected to begin Wednesday, Dec. 2, and run through Friday, Dec. 4. Players who sign their letter of intent during that period can then enroll early.

Ridge Point opens its season against Dickinson on Aug. 28. The Panthers went 11-1 last year and are still chasing their first state championship.

“If I need something done, I’m gonna work hard to get it done,” Ramseur said.
