Between numerous scholarship offers and earning a team captain role, Hagerty High School (Fla.) defensive back/linebacker Aurelio “Reli” Gutierrez has certainly been busy over the last month.

Gutierrez carried the positive summer vibes into last Friday’s 48-6 blowout victory over Lyman, finishing with five tackles and a 10-yard reception. The 5-foot-11, 170-pound senior also held his own as a blocker.

“Loved seeing everyone contribute, especially our younger guys who made the most of their playing time,” Gutierrez wrote on X/Twitter. ”Great to be part of a team where everyone steps up and supports each other.”

Gutierrez recently received a scholarship offer from Division III Massachusetts Maritime Academy. Cornell College (Iowa) and Maine Maritime, both of which are also D-III schools, offered him in July.

Gutierrez and the Huskies continue their 2026 season against New Smyrna Beach this Friday night.
