Hagerty (Fla.) High School defensive back/linebacker Aurelio “Reli” Gutierrez announced his third scholarship offer on Thursday, this time from Division III Massachusetts Maritime Academy.
Gutierrez had 32 tackles, an interception, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery for the Huskies last year. He received scholarship offers from two Division III schools, Cornell College (Iowa) and Maine Maritime, last month.
“Football has taught me that perseverance isn’t just about overcoming obstacles,” Gutierrez recently told Legacy Library. “It’s about maintaining the discipline and work ethic to keep improving every single day.”
Massachusetts Maritime Academy went 5-5 last season and is chasing its first winning season since 2019. The Buccaneers play in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference.
The 2026 Early Signing Period is expected to begin Wednesday, Dec. 2, and run through Friday, Dec. 4. Players who sign their letter of intent during that period can then enroll early.
Gutierrez — who was recently named a team captain — and the Huskies open their 2026 season on Aug. 21 against New Smyrna Beach.
