Playing Division I football was always the goal for Bishop Moore Catholic (Fla.) standout edge rusher Noah Prince, though his recent commitment to Eastern Michigan came with a slight price.
“I might freeze on the way,” Prince joked. “Gonna be super cold, but it’s just something you get used to. I’m not gonna let the cold hold me back.”
Considering how well he handles opposing blockers, it’s easy to believe in Prince. He pledged to Eastern Michigan earlier this summer following a dominant 14-sack junior season. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Prince also forced two fumbles and tallied 17 total tackles for a loss.
Prince said that EMU intends to use him as an outside linebacker rather than a defensive end, which is what he preferred throughout the recruiting process.
“That’s exactly how I wanted my future to work in college,” Prince told Legacy Library. “When I heard that’s how they were planning to use me, it was like, ‘Yeah, I gotta go there.’”
Prince said he will visit EMU for the Oct. 17 homecoming game against Toledo. The Eagles are seeking their first winning season since 2022.
Although Prince remains unranked on 247 Sports, both Bishop Moore Catholic and EMU fans should expect that to change very soon. The Hornets opened their season with a 38-21 victory over Lake Brantley last Friday, and they’ll face Hawthorne this week.
Prince began his senior season with his trademark aggressiveness, recording multiple quarterback hits and recovering a fumble.
“On the tape, you don’t actually see how someone truly is,” Prince said. “On the field, I’m a leader, and I’m very loud and always causing chaos. When I make a play, I’m gonna make sure everyone knows about it.”
