Look, we’re all adults. We can admit that we typically don’t think of a 6-foot-5, 290-pound offensive lineman practicing karate or taking yoga classes.
But when you’ve enjoyed the success that American Heritage-Delray (Fla.) tackle Nathaniel Allen has, then maybe we need to change up our routine.
“It allows me to be more flexible in my stance,” Allen told Legacy Library. “I’m able to reach better than other o-linemen, and it helps me block.”

Everything that Allen is doing off the field has translated into success for the Stallions, who have outscored opponents 241-69 through five games. Heritage is coming off a state championship and looks like a team that could earn consecutive titles for the first time in program history.
“People have been together for a couple of years now,” Allen said. “We all know each other and hang out with each other, so we know what we’re capable of.”
And?
“And I think we’re a better team this year than last year, just because of that,” Allen said.
The personal and team success should only help Allen throughout his senior season. The 2026 Early Signing Period is expected to begin Wednesday, Dec. 2, and run through Friday, Dec. 4. Players who sign their letter of intent during that period can then enroll early.
Allen and teammates are off this weekend before hosting Somerset Academy-Canyons (1-4) on Oct. 2.
