With how well their offense has played through the season’s first month, you’d expect college programs to have American Heritage-Delray (Fla.) junior quarterback Marcus Stracke on their radar.
Florida International and Coastal Carolina have certainly gotten the memo. Stracke attended FIU’s Sept. 12 victory over Buffalo, which moved the Panthers to 5-2 at home in the Willie Simmons era.
Next up is a trip to Myrtle Beach, as Stracke will hit the road for Coastal Carolina’s nationally televised showdown with Liberty.

Stracke has been spectacular for the 5-1 Stallions, completing 72.2% of his passes for 1,363 yards, 17 touchdowns, and two interceptions. He’s also rushed for 38 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
American Heritage outscored opponents 241-69 through its first six games, and 25 of those points allowed came in last week’s heartbreaking overtime loss to The King’s Academy.
Stracke and teammates are off this weekend before hosting Somerset Academy-Canyons (1-4) on Oct. 2.
