High School Basketball Recruiting: Totino-Grace (Minn.) Guard Malachi Hill Receives Wyoming, UT Chattanooga Offers

Totino-Grace (Minn.) guard Malachi Hill continues to make the most of the summer basketball circuit, and Division I schools are clearly paying attention.

Hill recently announced a plethora of scholarship offers, including from Wyoming, UT Chattanooga, Indiana State, and Illinois State.

The 6-foot, 170-pound rising senior had previously received offers from Tennessee Tech, Ohio University, and the University of Montana, among other schools.

Wyoming is fresh off an 18-15 campaign, its first winning record since its 2021-22 NCAA Tournament appearance. Chattanooga has been a consistent 20-win team over the last decade, reaching the NCAA tournament twice since 2015.

The Illinois State offer is especially interesting, as the Redbirds have recorded winning seasons for the first time in nearly 10 years.

Hill is currently considered Minnesota’s No. 3 prospect in 247 Sports’ composite ratings. The service also views him as the nation’s No. 33 point guard prospect in the Class of 2027.

“It’s all about the heart and skill,” Hill recently told Legacy Library. “Just because my family’s done things doesn’t mean I can’t build my own path.”
