Humble Atascocita High School (Texas) senior athlete Isaiah “Rocket” Rasheed was one of the Eagles’ leading offensive contributors in their season-opening loss to Katy last Saturday.
Rasheed caught three passes for 42 yards and carried the ball once for three yards in the 28-17 defeat. His 42 receiving yards led Atascocita, while his 45 total yards ranked second on the team.

The 6-foot-1, 175-pound Rasheed is a versatile athlete who has played quarterback, receiver and defensive back. He verbally committed to North Texas in June after receiving offers from seven schools, including Arizona, Texas Tech and Tulane.
Rasheed also won a gold medal in the triple jump at the 6A Regional Track Meet earlier this year. He has posted a 4.47-second 40-yard dash, 39.5-inch vertical and 11-foot-1 broad jump.
His commitment made him the first Class of 2027 receiver to pledge to North Texas. Rasheed earned a 3-star ranking from 247 Sports earlier this summer.
The 2026 Early Signing Period is expected to begin Wednesday, Dec. 2, and run through Friday, Dec. 4. Players who sign their letter of intent during that period can then enroll early.
Atascocita will try to even its record when the Eagles host Steele (1-0) on Saturday at 6 p.m.
