High School Football: Bayside DB Tyler Camby Ready to Leave His Mark at Peach State Gridiron Classic

The start of June 2026 provided an unforgettable two-week stretch for Bayside (Palm Bay, Fla.) junior defensive back Tyler Camby.

Camby announced on June 5 that he’d been invited to participate in the Peach State Gridiron Classic All-American Game Combine.

Staying busy, Camby attended a football camp at South Florida on June 8, then took the trip north to Gainesville for a Florida Gators camp two days later.

“When I’m spending time at USF or big colleges like that, it feels like a dream because I’ve come from a lot of hardship and I would’ve never expected to even be that close to a D1 school,” Camby said.

A multi-sport athlete, Camby says wrestling has boosted his endurance and ability to take down opponents.

The PSGC All-American Game provides a monumental exposure opportunity for Camby. Last year’s game featured players from 23 states, as well as Canada, with multiple earning scholarship offers afterward.

This year’s PSGC All-American Game is set for July 19 in Bowdon, Ga.

“I haven’t stopped grinding,” Camby said, “and I don’t plan on stopping until I make it.”

Camby and Bayside open the 2026 season against Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy on Aug. 21. The Bears seek their first winning record since going 7-4 in 2014.
