When he wasn’t fighting for snaps as a walk-on running back, he was working in sales. Even after earning an athletic scholarship at Florida Atlantic, Hearns had his eyes set on building a small business. 

Nothing — not a pandemic, personal obstacles, or rough experiences overseas — has deterred him thus far.
