Orchard Farm High School (Mo.) has changed the entire trajectory of its football program, and two-way standout Brendan Hudzik loves what he’s seen ahead of the 2026 season.

“The team chemistry is really good,” Hudzik told Legacy Library. “Our coaches are amazing. We have a senior offensive line. Everybody is family.”

Hudzik, a receiver and defensive back, has played a pivotal role in the Eagles’ recent breakthrough. Orchard Farm was a borderline .500 team for several years, only finishing with a winning record once between 2018 and 2022.

However, they’ve since turned things around, going 28-7 the last three years. Hudzik’s strong play on both sides of the ball has certainly helped, and his strong performance on the summer circuit landed him a scholarship from NAIA William Woods (Mo.) in July.

The 6-foot, 175-pound Hudzik previously earned an offer from Division III Trine University (Ind.) last year. He said he has not decided what position he would play in college.

“I’ll see where the road takes me,” Hudzik said.

The 2026 Early Signing Period is expected to begin Wednesday, Dec. 2, and run through Friday, Dec. 4. Players who sign their letter of intent during that period can then enroll early.

Orchard Farm opens its season against Fort Zumwalt South on Aug. 28. The Eagles went 11-1 last year and are still seeking their first state championship.

“I find ways to get open,” Hudzik said. “I feel like I have sure hands, and I’m a competitor.”
