Trinity Christian School (N.C.) junior defensive end Mohamed Donzo has begun the new season in style, collecting both a Week 1 win and two additional FBS offers.

The 6-foot-6, 230-pound Donzo recently announced that Charlotte and East Carolina both extended scholarship offers. Both play in the American Athletic Conference, and ECU has won at least eight games in three of the last four years.

Those two offers came before Donzo and Trinity Christian defeated Covenant Day last Saturday. He had four tackles, one going for a loss, and played a pivotal role in the Crusaders’ defensive masterpiece.

Ole Miss, Florida State, South Carolina, and Chattanooga all offered Donzo earlier this summer.

“The school that’s going to develop me the most as a player and a person, that’s really what I look at,” Donzo told Legacy Library.

Donzo and the Crusaders return to the field on Friday night against Sallie B. Howard in the latter’s 2026 opener.
