Upon further reflection, Winter Park High School (Fla.) likely wishes that Hagerty linebacker Reli Gutierrez had stayed in New York.
Gutierrez, a dynamic senior who continuously makes an impact on both defense and special teams, recorded another six tackles in Friday’s 20-6 win. He also had a sack in helping the Huskies rebound from last week’s loss to Oviedo.
Friday marked the first time this year that Hagerty allowed less than 20 points. The Huskies hadn’t given up 10 points or fewer since a 49-0 shutout of Lyman last Oct. 31.

Hagerty credits Gutierrez with 35 tackles through four games. He recently had an official visit at United States Merchant Marine Academy in New York. The Mariners are a Division III program located in Kings Point, roughly 22 miles east of Manhattan.
Gutierrez’s brother, Leandro, is a freshman running back at USMMA.
The 2026 Early Signing Period is expected to begin Wednesday, Dec. 2, and run through Friday, Dec. 4. Players who sign their letter of intent during that period can then enroll early.
Gutierrez and Hagerty look to make it four wins in five games when they travel to Seabreeze (3-2) next Friday night.
